Tel Aviv at 100 Tel Aviv 100 - The Centennial Celebration. April 2009 will mark the 100th anniversary of the city of Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv is the economic, cultural and academic capital of Israel. The city will celebrate this milestone with worldwide events reflecting Tel Aviv’s unique place in the history of the Jewish people, as the first Hebrew city established in more than 3000 years and the manifestation of the modern Zionist dream.
