A KATYUSHA ROCKET FIRED BY PALASTINIANS MILITANT

A Katyusha rocket fired by Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip on Thursday morning Nov 03 2007.It struck in an open field in northern Ashkelon, the furthest distance a rocket has struck yet.The rocket was identified as a Grad-type Katyusha, 122 milimeters in diameter, according to Army Radio. Militants acquired the rocket from Iran and have used the type before in attacks on Israel.All photos by Rafael Ben-Ari/Chameleons Eye
