MIDEAST ISRAEL CELEBRATING PURIM IN THE JEWISH CENTER

New Jewish immigrants from the Falash Mura tribe, Ethiopia are celebrating the Jewish holiday Purim in the Jewish Agency Center of Ashkelon, Israel on Sunday March 4 2007. Purim is characterized by public recitation of the Book of Esther, giving mutual gifts of food and drink, giving charity to the poor, and a celebratory meal.
