MIDEAST-ISRAEL-ASHKELON-ARCHAEOLOGY-STATUE-1800-YEAR-OLD-STORMASHKELON, ISRAEL - DECEMBER 14: A Roman-era statue that had been buried for centuries was unearthed on December 14, 2010 in Ashkelon, Israel. The statue was recovered after a gale-force winter storm hit the Israeli coast in the past week. The marble statue of a woman in sandals and a toga dress was discovered along with a roman bath-house and mosaics. The discoveries will be on display in museums.
